What is HomeSick Productions?
Homesick Productions was started in 2005 (then under the name SammiInsanity Photography) as a place for me to post photos of bands that I took at shows. I started to develop a real love for photography and became more serious about it. Over the past two years I have also started to get into promoting shows and managing bands so I wanted a name that showed I
did more than just photography, and a few days later it became Homesick Productions.

What is your philosophy on running Homesick?
I really can’t say I have a philosophy when it comes to running Homesick, I just want to give bands the best photos I can possibly give them! When it comes to promoting shows, I’m just trying to keep part of our slowly dying music scene alive, and I just pray kids come out and everyone has a good time. Knowing that they’re at my show instead of out wandering the streets and getting into trouble is an awesome feeling.

Have you had any specific moment where you were glad you had a camera?
Oh God, there are SO many moments where I’ve been glad to have had my camera! I’ve been lucky enough to catch vocalists hanging off ceilings, jumping off monitors, all members just dropping their instruments and diving into the crowd… When it comes down to it though, I’m always happy to have my camera in hand.

Equipment Rundown?
Canon Rebel XSi and a Bower fisheye attachment. Most people don’t believe me when I say this, but I actually DON’T use Photoshop to edit my photos, or even edit them at all really. If you have to tweek your photos so much to make them look good, there’s something wrong with that.

Give the readers a interesting fact about yourself!
I’m 18-years-old and have been doing this since the age of 13! I’m also heavily involved with Skate4Cancer and a portion of all profits made are actually donated to Rob Dyer/Skate4Cancer and the Canadian Cancer Foundation.

SO much love to my boys in We Stand Like Giants – Dan Darrah, Josh Gonsalves, Terence Graham, Dillan Littlewood and Zack Bedder. They’re some of my best friends and I’d die for any of them in a heartbeat. There’s no other band I’d rather manage.

Zach Mclaughlin and Terence Graham again, the newest members of the Homesick team. I look forward to being your “mentor” and working with you!

Finally to my late brother Jayden and my nana. They were more supportive than anyone else with Homesick Productions and this will live on forever in their memories. Rest in peace you two, miss you more than anything.

The great people in NINE O FIVE, specifically Josh McCabe (Thanks SO much to this guy, we will be working a lot more with him, hopefully very closely). The event was impeccable and perfect timing, a first for a local ‘show’. Although this featured some returning bands to the site, welcome back Tonight Tonight, and introducing the new band Nine O Five, and artist Aaron Gillespie (ex-Underoath, The Almost). This show was for sure a change of pace, with a night of worship being a part of the show, but absolutely a great time all around!

After wandering the grounds, and finding a cupcake carrier (which i did infact purchase), we wandered upstairs to a fun filled adventure awaiting ahead of us. Off into the right hand corner was a little section of PINE PROJECT featuring t-shirts.

I proceeded to look through their merchandise, and picked up a business card to further look into them. I was blown away by the website, and what I had discovered. So, there you have it! The takeover, the break is indeed over. As you may’ve read about over the last week, I’ve got a new band called Black Cards. When FOB went on hiatus, I wasn’t really sure what to do with myself. I know I wanted to keep travelling the world with my family. We had been to Jamaica recently. I spent a lot of time hanging around the beaches and I started to get inspired again by songs like “two sevens clash” and “warriors”.

In order for there to be room, the first 2 bands playing will load in, first band plays, takes their gear out then the second band goes on, and the pattern continues with the rest of the bands. This way, its not so overcrowded and hot inside the place.

Any band that takes longer than 10 minutes to set up, WILL cut into their set-time. So don’t loaft. I want to keep this on time so OSAS doesnt end up playing super late.

Emarosa- a band from Lexington,Kentucky; also signed with Rise Records, recently released a new self titled album.

I must say, Jonny Craig’s voice & lyrics are absolutely amazing. Anyways, Their new self titled album includes songs like: A Toast To The Future Kids!,Share The Sunshine Young Blood,I Still Feel Her pt.4 and many other good songs. According to What i’ve heard and what i’ve seen on sites, this album is a huge hit and many people can’t get enough of it(including me). Emarosa is deffinitely a unique and strong band, so hopefully we see & hear more from them! If you’re looking for a unqiue sound related to post-hardcore, Emarosa is the band.
