Fueled By Ramen recording artist VersaEmerge has finally announced the release of their gut wrenching anticipated debut. “Fixed At Zero” will arrive to all fans online and in stores as of June 22, so make sure to mark those calendars and save the date.

The Deluxe Digital edition will feature four bonus tracks, including B-sides and exclusive acoustic renditions of our favorites. In addition, the FBR Webstore will be offering some pre-order bundles, with such elite extras as t-shirts and a limited edition calendar which will include the names and birthdates of the first 500 fans placing pre-orders.

VersaEmerge have already been acclaimed as one of Alternative Press’s “Bands You Need To Know,” VersaEmerge have just embarked on an intensive live schedule, which will keep the trio busy all summer long. What’s more, VersaEmerge will also be spending their summer on the road with the Vans Warped Tour TwentyTen. The annual festival trek hits the road June 25th at Carson, California’s Home Depot Center, and lead the bands into a rigorous tour into mid-August. Make sure to get your tickets well in advance before they sell out and go support VersaEmerge.

Let us lead the way into this album. Debut full length FIXED AT ZERO. The opening track, Figure It Out, leads you into the album with a really creative introduction, and a great sound to set the scene of the album. The song is a catchy typical versa emerge song with some great vocals, and lyrics. One of the greatest aspects of VersaEmerge I have always found to have been the vocal of Sierra Kusterbeck. Poignant and yet angelic. This song seems to focuses on her vocals a lot more than previous songs I have heard from the band.

Mind Reader follows along with staying in an outstanding display of musicianship, and possibly one of my favorite songs. The band introduces their old familiar sound in this song more than the previous one, which is a nice thing to expect. This song quickly leads you into the self titled track Fixed At Zero, which graces us with an unexpected technical introduction. The most technical display of techniques I have heard thus far from guitarist Blake Harnage. Fixed At Zero will not disappoint any fans of the band, or skeptics. The song does not sieze to surprise you, as there are some great surprise musical parts throughout.

You’ll Never Know is next on the album, which is thus far a great album. Stranger follows, which is possibly one of my favorite tracks from the album. A mellow and slower song to add a break between the other songs, which suddenly takes a interesting turn with a great transition into a more melodic song. VersaEmerge have improved with their style, as well as talent, and have tightened up their sound, and it’s very noticeable in this album throughout the next few songs as well. Redesign Me, Fire (Aim Your Arrows High), Up There, and Your Own LoV.E. are all also spectacular songs with their poignant style.

Mythology, the second last track, leading us into, unfortunately, a conclusion. Although a conclusion to the album, it is not at all a let down in any way. Lost Tree extends itself into a lengthy seven-minute closing track. The track beings soft and acoustic before quickly picking up, and if you listen closely, you will notice something a little exciting, which I picked up on after listening to the album over and over. The vocals introduce a mixture of lyrics from the rest of the songs featured on the album.

All in all, this album is worth picking up, and for fans of PARAMORE (evidently with a female front-woman, and ironically label mates), you will not at all be let down. I recommend this album to anyone interested in some new music, and if you have not heard VE yet, I would strongly you do a little research and look into them.

Hey dude, we haven’t spoke in a long while. If you’re starting to get into review writing thing, I could use an additional writer for LMP. We’ve grown a lot over the last couple months, so I’ve added a couple people along the way. If interested, contact my email
