Exposing The Band

I would like to introduce you all to the new segment here at Promos4Awareness whereas we will be sitting down with bands, and getting to know a little more about them. Now, many people have taken the route of an interview, or getting to know individual members of a band, but I have taken a little more intimate approach to the whole ordeal.
We will now be talking with bands, and getting to know them on a personal side. We will be exploring what not-for-profit organizations bands support, in hopes to …

A Day In The Life: Tyler Jones (August 1st 2010)

August 1st 2010 marked To Tell The Tale’s EP Release Show, and IN LIGHTS; to many people’s confusion, had the honor of headlining the show.
Before I go any further i’ll introduce myself.
I’m Tyler Jones. If you didn’t know already I play drums in IN LIGHTS. I’m going to be posting on P4A whenever I have something worth talking about. I may not always talk about something original or something that necessarily hasn’t already been spoken of already; but hopefully my personal point of view will catch your interest. This is …

To Tell The Tale CD Release Show (Wrap Up)

Promos4Awareness was pleased to sponsor the TO TELL THE TALE CD Release Show, hosted at the Top Shelf, in Ajax Ontario. All in all, a Durham Region spectacle was had to say the least. With the introduction of the band Bathurst blessing the show, and a rare appearance of Kid Stallion, it was nothing to be forgotten.Let us not forget the great performances by Unit Thirty Three, and Like Pacific. Both bands put on a great set and deserved the spot on this bill. A perfect addition to a pop punk …

EarthRights International: Not-For-Profit of the week

Due to technical difficulties, this week’s not for profit is announced one day late. The website was undergoing a scheduled maintenance, which prevented us from updating the website. We are now back on track, and website should be optimized for quicker loading times!
This week, our not-for-profit organization comes to us for their efforts in defense of earth rights.  Through documentation, organization, teaching, and various other methods, they expose and publicize earth rights abuses through campaigns, reports and articles.
Ka Hsaw Wa, Co-Founder and Executive Director, is a member of the Karen ethnic …

Sea Shepherds: Not-For-Profit of the week

A good friend, and official partner of Promos4Awareness Rachel, creator of No Touchie Sharks, had made me sit down last night and watch Whale Wars, and since today is World Ocean Day, I thought which better not-for-profit organization than the Sea Shepherds for today.
The Sea Shepherds are a activist group founded by Paul Watson who had been forced to part ways with Greenpeace in an 11 to 1 vote, the 1 vote being his own.  Sea Shepherds focus on the protection of underwater wildlife, mostly known for their protection campaign …

June Promos4Awareness Campaign – Vegetarian Month

With the website stable enough and now with a steady course of readers I will on a mission to do a monthly campaign on the behalf of Promos4Awaerness. I will officially be starting monthly campaigns as of JUNE 1st through the website, in order to generate some interest, and get the name out and public even more. These campaigns can be anything from a bike ride from Ajax to Toronto, to vegetarian for a month. Here’s the kicker, THE PUBLIC gets to chose my campaigns.
The public to this day have …

INTERVIEW: Jordan Salmon

JORAND SALMON, bassist of belated Amnesia Amnesia and I had a chance to catch up on some good ol’ times and knock out a few questions that have beel floating around in my mind.  A few weeks ago we had seen Amnesia Amnesia play their final show. With the news earlier this week that Jordan Salmon had joined Message Through Motion as their new bassist, I thought it would be the ideal time to sit down with him and ask him a few questions.
Promos4Awareness: Hey Jordan how have you been?
Jordan …
