And none of them have any way to help themselves, no matter how much they want to help better their living expectancy. Imagine being stuck in the longest running war in your country, and not having a way to help yourself, or others. This is what I will be focusing on this week.
Africa has been caught in the middle of what has been known to be the longest running war in …

POWER UP GAMBIA: Not-For-Profit of the week

This week’s not for profit of the week focuses on something EVERYONE READING THIS ARTICLE IS CURRENTLY TAKING ADVANTAGE OF and not even realizing.  Electricity. Every one of us are currently using something electronic to power the device we are reading this post with, and we sometimes take that for granted and don’t remember that not everyone is as fortunate as we are.
I, myself, work in a building where I use TWO computers all day, in order to do my job. It can easily be done on one simple computer, …

In Lights

In Lights
Pickering, Ontario
Pop Punk
With their release of their second EP, ‘The River Court”, In Lights plans to show the world they are not the band you thought they were, or even the band they thought they were.
Birthed from basements and garages from around the GTA, In Lights formed late 2006 to the dying local scene. Their 5 song debut EP (With an extra 2 bonus demo songs from 07) entitled “Constellations” was released independently in early 2008. Constellations could easily pass as a mix tape you would give to your …

InLights/To Tell The Tale/Brighter Brightest @ Top Shelf – WRAP UP

Friday March 12th was a misty evening with a drizzle of rain and the city of Ajax was running quiet. The whole city minus the exception at the TOP SHELF which hosted the first date of the Brighter Brightest/IN LIGHTS/Use As Directed tour with my good friends as supporting acts To Tell The Tale.  The show went off without a hitch and was an amazing display of talent and artists. Full of sing a long fun and group vocals to please even the skepticals.
If you missed this show and would …

Amnesia Amnesia – Aids Awareness

Jordan and Jason from Amnesia Amnesia and I got together before a show in Oshawa at the Atria and took some real quick shoots for aids awareness. The theme here is AIDS and how they trap and silence people, which is represented by the red tape over their mouths (Silencing) and holding them left with no defense (Around their bodies, pinning their arms). This shoot was meant to be powerful and raw, and I think that the guys loved doing it as much as I love the outcome of the …
