My Chemical Romance have been forced to cancel their appaearance at Soundwave Festival this year in Australia. This incident is due to Gerard Way being diagnosed with “Throat Problems”.
An official release was issued stating the following from guitarist Frank Iero “While in the studio recently, Gerard started having some problems with his voice,” “At first we weren’t too concerned about it and thought it would pass, as these things usually do, but the longer it went on the more worried we all got so he went to see the doctor.”

Chiodos have announced that they will be heading into the studio this month to record their new album with a new lineup. Let’s hope the new lineup keeps the band as amazing as it was before the departure of Craig Owens and the addition of the new drummer. Only time can tell. The RPM Challenge is back for it’s 2010 round. The RPM Challenge is a creative challenge offered yearly to musicians with the challenge to record an album in 28 days. RPM invites musicians to create a whole album, with a total of either 10 songs or 35 minutes play length, in the month of February. This is not a contest so there is no prizes or winners. VersaEmerge have been keeping busy having just wrappedup both Warped Tour 09 and a tour with Boys Like Girls, Cobra Starship and We The Kings, it would be almost impossible to not know who VersaEmerge are. As we posted on this site before, members of Fall Out Boy, Every Time I Die, and Anthrax have formed a band named The Damned Things. The Damned Things have now announced that they are in the studio and are in the process of demoing their debut album!
According to Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman‘s recent tweets:
“9 out of 12 songs for The Damned Things forthcoming album are fully demo’d. Really liking how this sounds as a whole. Stay tuned.”
